Classic Barbecue Sauce Recipe
1 8 ounce can tomato sauce
1 6 ounce can tomato paste
2 tbsp brown sugar
2 tbsp vinegar
2 tbsp olive oil
1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
1 tsp dry mustard
1 tsp cayenne pepper
Ground pepper to taste

In a pan, heat oil in pan and saute minced onion and garlic until the onions are opaque. Add final ingredients and mix thoroughly. Over medium to low heat, simmer for 20-30 minutes, stirring to prevent sticking. Makes about 1 1/2 cups of sauce.

Kansas City Barbecue Sauce Recipe
1 cup ketchup
1/4 cup water
1/4 cup vinegar
1/4 cup brown sugar
3 tbsp olive oil
2 tbsp paprika
1 tbsp chili powder
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 tsp cayenne pepper

In a saucepan, heat oil and add minced garlic. Saute garlic until it turns a golden brown. Add remaining ingredients and reduce heat to medium low. Simmer sauce for 15-20 minutes until the sauce has thickened.

Carolina Style Barbecue Sauce
1 cup prepared yellow mustard
1/2 cup sugar
1/4 cup light brown sugar
3/4 cup cider vinegar
1/4 cup of water
2 tbsp chili powder
1 tsp black pepper
1 tsp white pepper
1/4 tsp cayenne pepper
1/2 tsp soy sauce
2 tbsp butter
1 tbsp hickory flavored liquid smoke

In a saucepan, mix all ingredients and simmer for 45 minutes on low heat.

Memphis Style Rib Sauce
2 cups ketchup
2 cups onion, chopped
1 cup red wine vinegar
2 cloves garlic, minced
1/4 cup prepared yellow mustard
1/4 cup packed brown sugar
1/2 tsp hot sauce

In a bowl, combine all ingredients except ketchup. Mix until thoroughly combined. Pour mixture into a saucepan then add ketchup. Simmer over low heat for 15-20 minutes. Use this sauce to baste ribs and serve on the side as well.

Black Jack Barbecue Sauce
2 cups onion, chopped
1 cup strong black coffee
1 cup ketchup
1 cup Worcestershire sauce
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup cider vinegar
1/4 cup hot chili peppers, minced
3 tbsp chili powder
6 cloves garlic, minced
2 tsp salt

Combine all ingredients in a large saucepan. Simmer on low heat for about 30 minutes. Remove from heat and allow sauce to cool completely. Pour sauce into blender and puree until sauce is smooth. Use for basting meat or serve on the side.
